Per Diem- Agriculture Production Line
Nursery in Oakland seeing agricultural workers to assist with propagation of cannabis. All candidates go through an assessment day to be considered for one of three Production line positions: temporary "Per Diem"; Part-time regular; or Full-time Regular. Positions to be offered will be determined by performance assessment and availability. Other practical factors may affect the final offer, to be determined solely by the company. In the Per Diem role, employees are "on-call", "temporary" and provide assistance during times of high volume production or to cover staffing needs such as employee absences. This is not a regular work schedule. Occasionally we may have a schedule in advance for vacation requests, or planned absences. Per Diem employees may receive a call as early as 6:00 am for same day shifts. Per Diems are trained to master two steps of our production line to maintain production goals. Per Diems will be offered one day of training before joining the production line. Part-time and full-time workers receive a regular schedule, subject to our staffing needs. Part-time workers are scheduled for and do work an average of 8 to 31.9 hours per week on a regular basis as determined by the department manager(s). Full-time workers are scheduled for and do work an average of to 32-40 hours per week. All part-time and full-time employees will receive comprehensive training in an area of production. The ideal candidate will have some agriculture/horticultural experience, preferably in clonal propagation, and/or experience in the medical marijuana industry. We are seeking candidates with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, proven ability to take instruction and use constructive feedback to excel in the job. All candidates must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, and 50 lbs infrequently. $16/hr for assessment and Per-Diem work $17 and up for Regular positions All positions have the potential for merit wage increases.
